USA
Farnum Hill Dooryard Cider Batch 1502 – New Hampshire
This off-dry, bubbly DY 1502 greets the nose with sweet orange, orange peels, sour cherry and bittersweet apple, maybe some black tea, cream and a weird nice aroma of clean-ness. The flavors lead with bright acid over broad bitterness, barely perceptible sweetness, complex pear, apple, and quince, a touch of marmalade, braced with astringency. In the finish, acid keeps the lead, with fruit carrying from the palate and reappearing from the nose. To us, this blend comes off a little like FH Summer Cider or SemiDry.  750ml

EZ Orchards Hawk Haus Cider - Oregon
Hawk Haus is named after the kestrel nests found on the property and is a blend of Jonathan and Yarlington Mill apples. Pale, yellow-golden in color and lightly hazed with modest, tiny carbonation bubbles like the finest sparkling wines. The aroma is fresh cut apples and an earthy farmyard character. Very pleasant and grounded. Hawk Haus is big, soft and round on the palate with gentle acidity. Notes of cinnamon and brown sugar are reminiscent of apple turnover. The finish is just short of total dryness, with appealing fresh apple flavors from beginning to end.  500ml

Tieton Cider Works Wild Washington – Washington
For this cider, they planted the “wild” apple cultivars that grew in eastern America, England and France to make the ciders – the name Wild Washington Apple seemed appropriate.  With pineapple aroma and a pronounced mineral quality that gives the cider a lively mouth feel. There are notes of green apple and preserved lemon.  500ml

Crispin Venus Reigns Red Wine Cask Aged Pear Hard Cider -- California
Venus Reigns caresses your lips with purity and charm. A soaring achievement of elegance and simplicity. Colfax golden pear wine aged to full maturity in specially selected red wine casks, finished with a gentle kiss of honey.  Before pouring, give a solid bottoms-up tilt and swirl to disperse sediment evenly and best enjoy the complex aroma and bouquet.  22oz

 

Crispin 15 Men Rum Barrel Aged Hard Apple Cider -- California
The base cider for 15 Men is a Colfax apple wine that is followed by aging in dark rum barrels and then finished with Wildflower Honey and Dark Candied Syrup. The sweetness of the rum shines through but is kept at bay with the apple’s acidity. This balance of tart and sweet is a positive one and allows for a pleasurable enjoyment of the bottle of cider. 22oz

Experience a sweetly floral to herbal aromatic bouquet and an elegant yeasty flavor with a sustained mouth-feel that develops complexity on the palate. Virtue Cider Orchard On The Lake – Fennville, Michigan
Virtue Cider’s Orchard Series pays tribute to our partnering farmers by featuring single grower’s finest fruits. Orchard on the Lakes Arkansas Black dominates this wild-fermented heirloom cider. Its robust tannins are balanced by crisp acidity and smokey farm aromatics.  750ml

Virtue Cider Publican – Fennville, Michigan
The Publican cider is a partnership with amazing Chicago chef Paul Kahn.  It is a blend of 5 distinct ciders, each of which is a blend of several Michigan heirloom apple varieties.  One more tart, another more fruity, and another left on its lees for months.  The resulting blend is a very complex cider, with notes of both English and French styles.  750ml

Virtue Cider The Mitten Bourbon Barrel Aged Cider – Fennville, Michigan
When the leaves fall, there’s a chill in the air and the evening greedily takes hours from daylight, we stand strong and embrace the wintertime. It’s a time of rich foods, roaring fires and our favorite sweaters. Drinks change from refreshing to intense and satisfying. The Mitten is a Winter cider, a blend of last seasons best, aged in bourbon barrels, with the new season’s fresh pressed apple juice. Straight cider, aged for 3 seasons, finds notes of vanilla, caramel and charred American oak, balanced with the best of the orchard, over-ripe apples and their sweet, tart, earthy juice. Many barrels are filled, but only a small portion, the very smoothest, will find their way into The Mitten. We love wintertime, especially when we have The Mitten to keep us warm and happy through the long, cold night.  750ml

Left Foot Charley Henry’s Pippin Hard Cider – Traverse City, Michigan
Pippin is an old word for apple. It was also used to describe someone or something that is excellent. We think this cider is pippin indeed. LFC blended several different fermentations from their multitude of options in the cellar. Some were fermented in barrels, some in oak tanks and some in stainless steel tanks. Months after fermentation and settling they tasted through and found this blend worked very well.  500ml

Left Foot Charley Antrim County Heirloom Apple Hard Cider – Traverse City, Michigan
This is a single origin cider grown by Ron Boals and family.  This blend was chosen for its striking acidity and fresh, juicy apple character.  This cider has a snap!  The apples were picked in October and allowed to age off the tree to soften and further ripen the fruit.  The juice was cold fermented in stainless steel and stopped short of dryness to retail natural residual sweetness.  No sugar has been added.  It is then blended and bottled in small batches to retain freshness.  500ml

Left Foot Charley Cinnamon Girl Hard Cider – Traverse City, Michigan
Cinnamon Girl is a classic combination – apples and cinnamon. The apples are harvested from two farms on the Old Mission Peninsula and allowed to age off the tree for 4-8 weeks prior to pressing. This allows the starch in the fruit to convert into sugar making the apple sweeter and softer. The juice is fermented in stainless steel for 6 weeks. It is then removed from the yeast before all of the sugar has been consumed leaving a balanced natural sweetness. Whole cinnamon sticks are then added and steeped in the cider for 4-6 weeks. It is then blended and bottled in batches to retain freshness.  500ml

J.K. Scrumpy’s Farmhouse Organic Scrumpy Cider -- Flushing, Michigan
Well… that’s an English-style of farmhouse cider that has always been popular on the farms of southern England. It was also known here in the states in the early 1800’s. While this is not an English-style cider it is definitely a Farmhouse Cider. 22oz

Blackstar Farms Hard Cider – Traverse City, Michigan
Fresh & fruity, this cider explodes with apples and delicate spice on the palate! This is a delightful cider made from a blend of 8 different apples. When served cold this sparkling cider is aromatic & refreshing like a honeycrisp apple from the farm market! Squishy is a semi-sweet cider made from a late season blend of apples, Balaton and Montmorency cherries from King Orchards. 7.5% ABV  6pk/12oz

Starcut Ciders Pulsar – Bellaire, Michigan
Pulsar is a semi dry cider with a clear yellow color and soft fruit and wine-like aromas. It’s mildly acidic with a tangy sweetness that dries the palate into a warming finish.  6pk/12oz

Basandere “Wild Woman Of The Woods” Hard Cider, Basque, France

Spain
Isastegi Hard Cider, Basque, Spain
Isastegi has an effervescence that's immediately apparent in the pour. There is a strong oyster-like minerality that comes through on the palate, making it an ideal pairing for shellfish. Compared to the other Basque ciders, the Isastegi contains higher acids and more pronounced tannins. 12oz
