What I Am Thankful For

I know we should be thankful every day for all the wonderful things in our life, but Thanksgiving gives us the chance to really reflect on what we are greatful for. A couple weeks ago our Toys for Tots box came in and we set it in the produce section like we always do. Obviously it is going to be empty for a couple days until people notice it and start filling it, but the emptiness of the box kind of broke my heart for a second. I thought of the kids who don’t get to experience the magic of Christmas.

I am more than grateful for my childhood. My parents always made sure my sister and I had plenty of gifts to open on Christmas morning. We always made cookies for Santa the night before and spent the whole Christmas day with family and friends. I wish every child could enjoy the spirit of Christmas like all the children in my family did. I am very thankful for every gift I ever received, and therefore will pay it forward by donating an item to the Toys for Tots Foundation.
