Here is what you will need:
Everything can be found at Sawyer Garden Center!

  • 8oz. cream cheese
  • 8oz. small curd cottage cheese
  • 1 package White Cheddar Jalapeño Dip Mix® by Country Home Creations
  • 8oz. sour cream
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 1tsp garlic or onion salt
  • 2 cups shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, chopped
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 1 bottle of our $7.99 HOT BUY wines (optional) :)

To get started, make sure you let the cream cheese soften. Unless you are trying to get an upper body work out later.

Chop up the onions, tomato, jalapenos and cilantro.

Add as much or as little of any of these ingredients, make it how you like it. You don’t like cilantro, leave it out! You’re the only one in your household that likes cilantro, put extra in! :)

Pepper jack cheese can be hard to find shredded. I bought a block of pepper jack and shredded it myself, which I think makes the cheese taste better anyways.

By the way, Dairy Fresh block and shredded cheeses are all 2 for $4.00! Sale lasts now through 1/18/15

Time to start mixing!

I started with the cream cheese, sour cream and cottage cheese. Then I added the White Cheddar Jalapeño Dip Mix and the pepper jack cheese. Last I threw in the diced tomato, fresh jalapeño and cilantro.

Now it is time for the upper body work out! At this point I almost forgot to add the teaspoon of garlic salt. I tried it before and after I added it, and it is honestly amazing how much of a difference that teaspoon makes. So don’t forget it!

Once it is all mixed together put some plastic wrap over the bowl and place in fridge. The recipe I was kind of following said to let it cool at least six hours before eating. If you can wait six whole hours without eating any of this dip. I applaud your discipline.

Once it is chilled to perfection, garnish with some more tomatoes, jalapeños, and cilantro! Oh, and of course, a little bit of shredded cheese!

This dip was very easy to make and beyond delicious. My grandma was in town and helped me make it, so that is why it tasted extra good. :)

Even though she said it was “a liiiiiitle bit spicy”!
