Though many of us enjoy the slower, relaxed feel of gardening, that doesn’t mean it can’t be confusing at times. Enter, Botany Buddy. Botany Buddy is an exclusive application (app) for the iPhone, iPod, or iPad that allows you to become the gardener you always wanted to be. With daily updates regarding garden news, tips and tricks, and useful information, Botany Buddy is a hand-held must for any gardener.

The information is only half of the appeal of this app. It’s real draw comes from it’s extensive collection of over 2,000 plant species. You can research just about any plant species you want and be met with several pictures, information about its natural habit, flowers, seed types, leaf types, shapes, colors, and more! You can put together your own ‘collection’ of plants from the database, or simply learn more about the plant you’re looking at in the Garden Center with that kind of information at your fingertips.

At $9.99, Botany Buddy does go a bit past the $.99-$1.99 range a lot of apps are purchase for, but for any gardener, or anyone just wanting to know more about plant life, this is an excellent application.
